Plataforma CIPÓ has endorsed an open letter that will be launched during the Summit of the Future in New York, aimed at promoting more inclusive and accountable global governance.
The document calls on Member States to support four priority measures: the establishment of a Permanent Global Citizens’ Assembly, a World Citizens’ Initiative, a UN Parliamentary Assembly, and a UN Civil Society Envoy.
Different civil society organizations are endorsing the letter. The goal is to ensure that citizens’ voices are broadly represented in global decision-making and that there is greater inclusion and accountability in the governance process. The initiative is led by the ImPACT Coalition on Inclusive Global Governance.
