Entre 20 e 25 de setembro, a Plataforma CIPÓ participa, em Nova Iorque, de uma série de diálogos realizados no contexto da 81ª Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas. Representando a organização, a diretora-executiva, Maiara Folly, integra encontros sobre reforma da ONU, futuro do multilateralismo, liderança feminina, novas coalizões internacionais, ação climática e o papel do Brasil e do Sul Global na construção de respostas aos desafios globais.
A agenda acontece em um cenário de tensões geopolíticas, crises simultâneas e desafios crescentes à cooperação internacional. Entre os temas que ganham espaço estão a representatividade e a legitimidade das instituições multilaterais, a participação dos países do Sul Global nos processos de decisão e os caminhos para transformar compromissos internacionais em resultados concretos.
As discussões ocorrem também durante o processo de escolha da próxima liderança das Nações Unidas, trazendo para o centro questões como a implementação do Pacto para o Futuro, o papel do G20 na governança global, além de debates para fortalecer o protagonismo do Sul Global e das mulheres na ação climática.
