SDGs: CIPÓ provides inputs on integrating the ‘Leave No One Behind’ principle

On Thursday, 7 April, Plataforma CIPÓ took part in the virtual roundtable titled Improving the integration of the ‘Leave No One Behind’ principle: insights from experts in the Global South.  Southern Voice, a network of think tanks in developing countries, hosted the discussion to gather insights from experts from the Global South on how to improve its programming to align it with the principle to Leave No One Behind.  The roundtable brought together experts, researchers to discuss main gaps and possibilities in this aspect of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The principle of Leave No One Behind (LNOB) is a central guiding theme in the development and implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In line with this, the UNDP Independent Evaluation Office has been working with Southern Voice and the Centre for Policy Research to conduct a comparative study of selected organisations’ approaches and implementation modalities for the LNOB principle, as part of an evaluation of the integration of ‘Leaving No One Behind’ principles in UNDP. Findings will inform how the organisation can best incorporate the principle in programmes and policies.
