Between November 7th-9th, 2022, the CIPÓ researcher Gabrielle Alves was present at the Regional Consultation for Latin America and Caribbean Workshop about the Global Relatory of Sustainable Development of the 2023 United Nations.
The event were realized in Lima, Peru, and discussed the challenges and opportunities to the Latin America and Craibbean, focusing on the commons, expansion of capabilities, and promotion a collective action.
The researcher presented the actuation of a “Climate for Change” coalition members as examples of combating environmental and climate racism in peripheral territories, in addition, she highlighted the importance of ratification of the Escazú Agreement and the listening of local examples that can be replicated on a global level.
