The “vaccine diplomacy” was the subject of an article by The Guardian, which discussed the controversies raised by the Brazilian government in relation to the Chinese vaccine. CIPÓ’s Executive Director, Adriana Erthal Abdenur, stated that “it is reasonable to expect the public to have inicial concerns [in relation to the vaccine], but acceptance will increase when people realize that the risks are very small compared to the benefits”.
