The Just Transitions and Climate Justice program has two key objectives:

1. Drive structural, financial and technological transformations to foster just and sustainable economic transitions that align climate goals with enhanced socio-economic conditions and the reduction of inequalities both within and across countries.
2. Tackle the root causes of climate change—including greenhouse gas emissions, illegal deforestation and environmental crimes—while promoting climate justice and addressing the structural inequalities that disproportionately exacerbate climate impacts on specific countries, communities and social groups, particularly in the Global South.
