On May 5–6, the Executive Director of Plataforma CIPÓ, Maiara Folly, represented the organization at the Global Solutions Summit 2025, held in Berlin, Germany. The event brought together experts from around the world to discuss solutions to major global challenges, with a focus on urgent topics such as: trade tensions and the tariff war initiated by the United States; the impacts of the war in Ukraine on peace and security; and possible pathways toward COP30, which will be hosted in Belém, Pará, Brazil.
One of the central themes of the summit was the strategic role of Global South countries in shaping more just and inclusive climate solutions, particularly in the current context of climate emergency.
Another key topic of discussion was the Roadmap Baku to Belém — a cooperation agenda that outlines concrete actions toward the new climate finance goal for 2035. The plan calls on developed countries to mobilize approximately USD 1.3 trillion in international climate finance and was highlighted as a strategic instrument in global negotiations.
