Panel: Foreign Policy – Where is Brazil’s Foreign Policy Going? with Adriana Erthal Abdenur, Monica Hirst and Paulo Nogueira Batista

On the tenth day of the fifth edition of Brazil Forum UK 2020, master’s student in International Migration and Public Policy, at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Fabrizia de Marco invites, the co-founder of the platform Cipó, Adriana Erthal Abdenur, the professor in international relations at IESP-UERJ, Monica Hirst and economist Paulo Nogueira Batista, to discuss the new directions of Brazilian foreign policy. From the ambitious plans that led Brazil to lead peacekeeping missions on behalf of the UN and host major sporting events, to the shift towards closer ties with the United States and ideological clashes with China.
