Event in Brasilia discusses Brazil’s climate and environmental agendas

CIPÓ is one of the organizers of the event “New pathways for multilevel and multisectoral integration in the advancement of climate policy in Brazil”, which will take place next Tuesday (14th March), starting at 9 am, in Brasília, with the participation of key stakeholders in the area, including three Ministers of State, one governor and representatives of the European Union. The meeting is led by the Brazilian Association of State Environment Entities (Abema).

The discussions will focus on new governance perspectives to broaden and strengthen the coordination between the federal and state governments, sectors of civil society and the private sector in promoting climate action.

Confirmed speakers include:
Marina Silva, Minister of Environment and Climate Change;

  • Luciana Santos, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation;

Carlos Fávaro, Minister of Agriculture and Livestockk Renato Casagrande, Governor of Espírito Santo state;

Ignácio Ibãnez, Ambassador of the European Union in Brazil
Although the in-person meeting will be restricted for invited guests only, the meeting will be broadcast live to the general public on Abema’s YouTube channel.
