CIPÓ promotes events on parliamentary diplomacy and G20 during COP28

Straight from the 28th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP28), which is taking place from November 30 to December 12 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Plataforma CIPÓ is organizing a number of events. The idea is to bring together – at a time when Brazil will take over the G20 presidency, on December 1st – prominent names from both Brazil’s political world and its civil society to discuss issues such as environmental racism and sustainable development.

Throughout COP28, we plan to focus our activities on two main agendas: on one hand, the G20, with the aim of contributing to the Brazilian and Global South civil societies to have a broader and enhanced discussion on the G20 group; and on the other, parliamentary diplomacy, with the end goal of bolstering the international participation of Brazilian legislators, particularly with regards to the environmental and climate change agendas
