On June 6th and 7th, 2022, the BRICS Seminar 2022: Towards the High-quality Shared Development was held, organized by the Bureau of International Cooperation and the Institute of Latin American Studies, both from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). On the occasion, the Senior Researcher of the CIPÓ Platform, Dr. Renata Albuquerque Ribeiro, presented the work entitled “South-South Cooperation in Just Transition: Innovating through the BRICS”.
South-South cooperation in energy, the role of the New Development Bank in promoting the energy transition and the creation of cooperation programs in the agricultural area, in order to promote responsibility chains, were the main topics addressed during the presentation. The debate echoed in the China Daily, the largest-circulation English-language newspaper in China.
