Environmental Crimes

Within the context of the Climate and Security debates and initiatives, CIPÓ analyzes the causes, dynamics, and impacts of environmental crimes, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), with the objective of improving prevention and response to these activities.

CIPÓ currently works in regions with high levels of illegal deforestation, such as the Amazon, the Cerrado, the Caatinga, and the Atlantic Forest, offering a comparative analysis with other regions and countries, such as the Congo basin and Southeast Asia.
