CIPÓ Releases 2025 Annual Report Highlighting the Organization’s Key Achievements

Plataforma CIPÓ has released its 2025 Annual Report, an 81-page publication that brings together the organization’s main milestones, projects, and achievements over the past year. In addition to detailing its initiatives, the report presents institutional impact indicators, communications results, and a financial overview.

In 2025, Plataforma CIPÓ strengthened its engagement in multilateral processes, expanded cooperation with strategic partners, and combined applied research, policy engagement, and strategic communications to advance public policies and support responses to global challenges.

COP30, held in Belém, was one of the organization’s central priorities throughout the year. During the Conference, Plataforma CIPÓ coordinated the Global South Office in the Blue Zone, a dedicated space for meetings, dialogues, and collaboration among representatives of governments, parliaments, academia, civil society, and international organizations. The organization also led the drafting of the Global Ethical Stocktake (GES), an initiative promoted by the COP30 Presidency and the United Nations, organized high-level events, and contributed to initiatives aimed at strengthening multilevel governance and the implementation of the Paris Agreement.

Another major highlight of the year was the Global Policy Dialogue: Advancing Climate Finance and Just Transitions on the Road to COP30, held in Vitória, Espírito Santo. The event brought together more than 100 participants, including representatives from the COP30 Presidency, national and subnational governments, parliaments, multilateral institutions, academia, and civil society, establishing itself as one of the leading preparatory dialogue spaces ahead of the Conference.

The results presented in the report reflect the integrated work carried out across the organization’s three core programmes.

Within the Climate Diplomacy and Sustainable Development programme, key achievements included co-leading, for the second consecutive year, the T20 Task Force on Climate Action and Just Transitions, strengthening parliamentary diplomacy, and expanding international cooperation.

Under the Just Transitions and Climate Justice programme, Plataforma CIPÓ deepened its policy engagement on just transitions, climate finance, and the implementation of the Paris Agreement, while launching the Subnational Climate Solutions Bank and the Belém Declaration Implementation Monitoring Dashboard.

Meanwhile, the Global Governance Reform and International Financial Architecture programme focused on advancing reforms to the international financial architecture, strengthening multilateralism, and expanding financing for sustainable development.

The report also highlights the strengthening of the organization’s technical production and institutional communications. Throughout 2025, Plataforma CIPÓ published 42 publications, received 88 media mentions, and surpassed 33,000 followers across its digital platforms. Its publications included six policy briefs, five strategic reports, five technical submissions, as well as opinion articles, policy notes, and public letters.

Another important milestone was the organization’s growing international recognition. Plataforma CIPÓ was included in the “100 Think Tanks to Watch 2025” list, published by On Think Tanks, which recognizes organizations making innovative contributions and demonstrating growing influence in global public policy debates.
