foraus publishes GenSouth 2026 policy brief with CIPÓ participation

The Swiss think tank foraus has published the Project Brief “GenSouth: New voices from the Global South for the future(s) of multilateralism”, the result of the 2026 edition of the GenSouth program, held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The publication brings together contributions from young researchers from the Global South on proposals to transform the multilateral system. Among the authors is Nycolas Candido, a senior researcher at Plataforma CIPÓ.

Candido is one of the authors of chapter 2.2, which addresses climate justice from a feminist and decolonial perspective. The text discusses, among other points, the role of popular assemblies as a mechanism for global governance.

The document was developed through a collaborative process that brought together, in Geneva, participants from different countries to produce public policy recommendations with a horizon up to 2050.

Overall, the report is structured around four axes: participation in global governance, climate justice, international security, and financial architecture.
