How can the UN be made fit for purpose in Latin America and the Caribbean?

In this report, Adriana Erthal Abdenur addresses how the UN can be made “fit for purpose” in the Latin America and Caribbean region.

She offers four recurring and cross-cutting themes on how to:

1. increase participation, through including civil society and youth in UN processes;
2. strengthen the UN’s role in peacebuilding, especially through conflict prevention;
3. boost climate and security governance, making it more relevant to the region; and
4. improve the links between regional and global governance in the Latin America and Caribbean context
