CIPÓ signed the campaign promoted by the NGO NOSSAS, against Bill 948/2021, which promotes ‘queue jumping for vaccines’ by allowing business owners to vaccinate their families and employees before those who are waiting for immunisation in Brazil’s public health system.
In Brasília, our researcher, Gabrielle Alves, and other activists were present at a protest that took place in front of Brazil’s Senate, which also denounced reports of gold miners being vaccinated in exchange for gold extracted illegally. Wearing masks printed with the faces of businessmen Luciano Hang and Carlos Wizard, who are defending this Bill, the activists distributed bracelets to the ‘VIP Vaccination Room’ across the Brazilian parliament.
