On November 30, 2021 Gabrielle Alves, researcher at CIPÓ, participated in the Annual General Meeting 2021 of the Effectiveness of Peace Operations Network (EPON). EPON aims to increase the effectiveness of international peace operations by enabling and supporting collaborative research. Several members of the Network were present, including Cedric de Coning (Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), who chaired the meeting.
As 2021 draws to a close, the network reflected on the year and future plans. EPON has completed key studies on Mali, Cyprus and the Democratic Republic of Congo. There are also several studies in progress and in planning for 2022.
