Plataforma CIPÓ met this Thursday (May 21) with representatives of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations (SRI) of the Presidency of the Republic, in Brasília, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between government and civil society in the development of fairer, more sustainable, and sovereign public policies.
During the meeting, the organization delivered a document outlining strategic pillars for a new economy aimed at promoting sustainable development, democracy, and social justice in Brazil. The document was developed jointly with Transforma Economia – Unicamp, with support from the Global Fund for a New Economy (GFNE).
Attending the meeting were Marcelo Almeida Cunha Costa, Executive Secretary of the SRI; Uolli Longo Briotto, Chief of Staff of the Executive Secretariat; and Carlos da Fonseca, Head of the Special Advisory Office for International Affairs.
Representing Plataforma CIPÓ were Maiara Folly, Executive Director and Co-founder; Carlos Alfredo Lazary Teixeira, Head of Institutional Relations; and Ana Terra Pimentel Santana, Advocacy Assistant.
The meeting reinforces the importance of dialogue between the State and civil society in shaping public policies capable of addressing contemporary challenges with a focus on sustainability, sovereignty, and inclusion.
