Global Governance and the International Financial Architecture Reform

This program pursues two core objectives:

  1. Promote reforms in global and regional governance institutions to make them more equitable, transparent, inclusive and effective –ensuring meaningful representation of developing countries in decision-making processes. In addition, the program aims to broaden participation by incorporating civil society organizations, parliamentarians, subnational governments and other key stakeholders in these institutions.
  2. Advance reforms in the international financial architecture to strengthen its role in climate finance and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring just and lasting solutions to the challenges faced by developing countries, such as high capital costs and heavy debt burdens.
