The T20 Brasil Task Force 02 – “Sustainable Climate Action and Just and Inclusive Energy Transitions,” co-led by Plataforma CIPÓ and the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), received, until April 1st, 110 policy briefs for evaluation.
In the coming weeks, the TF will be dedicated to evaluate the submitted documents. The PBs may be rejected, accepted with modification, accepted without modification, or recommended to be merged with other similar PBs. The idea is that the documents state important debates and recommendations for the T20 and the G20 process.
The Task Force 2 is divided into 7 subtopics, with the following themes: Fostering Sustainable, Inclusive, and Just Energy Transitions; Accelerating Transition to a Low-carbon Economy and Sustainable Consumption/Production; Fostering Investment and Open Innovation for Sociobioeconomy and Nature-based Solutions; Investing in Sustainable, Inclusive, and Resilient Infrastructure; Optimising Access to Multilateral and Climate Funds and Leveraging Private Capital for Climate Finance; Operationalizing Climate Justice through Financing and Technology Transfer; and Implementing just sustainability reporting requirements: the Role of ESG Metrics.
More information about co-chairs and members of the subtopics can be accessed here.
