On Valor, CIPÓ comments on common agreements and differences from the Amazon Summit

The Amazon is considered the world’s main carbon sink. This consequently grants countries that are home to this biome significant leverage when it comes to international negotiations on climate and development.

The statement was made by Plataforma CIPÓ senior researcher Flávia do Amaral Vieira, one of the sources heard by Brazilian newspaper Valor Econômico for its piece on the Amazon Summit.
