On May 23, Plataforma CIPÓ was present in Belém do Pará for the launch of the MANAS Project: Global Girls Creating Change (G2C2).
The initiative, led by Hivos, is global in scale and is simultaneously implemented in Brazil, Indonesia, Nepal, and Uganda.
In Brazil, besides Hivos, the activities are carried out by Mandí and LabJaca, in partnership with CIPÓ. The goal is to empower and train girls and young women to promote equitable climate actions.
In her speech, CIPÓ’s project coordinator, Marília Closs, discussed the importance of the participation of girls and women in climate governance spaces, from local to global levels.
