The policy briefs from the task force dedicated to accelerating climate action and promoting just transitions within the Think20 (T20) framework are now available for download on the official T20 South Africa 2025 website.
Co-led by Plataforma CIPÓ, Southern Transitions, and IDDRI, the task force brings together experts and institutions from around the world committed to strengthening international cooperation in the face of the climate crisis. The new policy briefs address key topics such as sustainable and equitable critical mineral value chains, adaptation finance, inclusive and just energy transitions, and the interconnections between biodiversity, climate, and development.
The work is carried out in collaboration with the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), the Institute for Global Dialogue (IGD), the Institute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation (IPATC), and other renowned organizations.
The release comes on the eve of the T20 Summit, which will take place on November 13 and 14 in Johannesburg, bringing together experts, policymakers, and representatives from various institutions to discuss concrete pathways to tackle the climate crisis and promote sustainable and just transitions worldwide.
