On February 14th, at 10:30AM (Brasilia time), CIPÓ researcher Gabrielle Alves participated in a side event on youth and ageism during the 60th United Nations Commission on Social Development. The event “Prosperous Youth – from ageism to intergenerational solidarity” was held by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), The World Health Organisation (WHO), the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Major Group on Children and Youth.
The main findings of the Global Report on Ageism were presented and a discussion on strategies for dealing with age discrimination was offered.
