Maiara Folly, the executive director of Plataforma CIPÓ, will be attending the forum titled “European Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean: Partners in Transformation” in Brussels, Belgium, on July 13th and 14th. The forum, organized by the EU-LAC Foundation and targeting representatives from civil society and international organizations, precedes the European Union-CELAC Summit. The summit will gather leaders from over 70 countries, including the Brazilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Folly is confirmed as one of the speakers on the panel named “Partnerships and Engagement of Multiple Stakeholders: Democracy, Knowledge, Gender Equality, and Just Transitions.” The panel discussion, scheduled for Friday (14th), will explore various topics such as the promotion of democracy, technical cooperation and gender equality, as well as ways to achieve just transitions, within the framework of partnerships between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean.
