The Plataforma CIPÓ will be present at the G20 Social, taking place from November 14 to 16 at Pier Mauá and the Olympic Boulevard in Rio de Janeiro. The event aims to bring together voices from the 19 countries with the world’s largest economies to discuss essential topics on the global agenda. Our representatives — Beatriz Mattos (Research Coordinator), Vitória Gonzalez (Project Coordinator), Nycolas Candido, and Vinicius Lopes (Researchers) — will be involved in discussions on just climate governance, gender equality, and climate adaptation.
The main themes to be addressed include: climate ambition and responsibility; climate and gender inequality in Global South countries; tackling gender-based violence as a challenge for inclusion; youth and climate adaptation; global and national governance for future generations.
