The International Seminar on Border and Sustainability, discussed the process of environmental degradation in countries rich in biodiversity, which is driven by deforestation, extreme poverty, illegal wood extraction, as well as weapons and drugs trafficking. Adriana Abdenur, co-founder of CIPÓ, commented on challenges of investigating environmental crimes in the Amazon, as well as in the Usumacinta Basin.
