{"id":9122,"date":"2022-04-22T10:23:29","date_gmt":"2022-04-22T13:23:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/plataformacipo.org\/uncategorized\/cipo-in-passblue-the-united-nations-our-common-agenda\/"},"modified":"2022-11-14T11:57:48","modified_gmt":"2022-11-14T14:57:48","slug":"cipo-in-passblue-the-united-nations-our-common-agenda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plataformacipo.org\/en\/cipo-in-the-news\/cipo-in-passblue-the-united-nations-our-common-agenda\/","title":{"rendered":"CIP\u00d3 in PassBlue: The United Nations&#8217; Our Common Agenda"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On the 20th of April 2022, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.passblue.com\/2022\/04\/20\/making-the-most-of-the-2023-un-summit-of-the-future\/?utm_source=PassBlue+List&amp;utm_campaign=78db7d40f9-RSS_PassBlue&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_4795f55662-78db7d40f9-54990553\">PassBlue <\/a><\/strong>published an article written by Mar\u00eda Fernanda Espinosa (President of the 73rd General Assembly of the United Nations) and Tanilo Turk (former President of Slovenia and UN Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs) on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/content\/common-agenda-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Our Common Agenda<\/strong><\/a><em>,<\/em> an initiative by the UN Secretary General to advance concrete reforms to make the organization more effective in addressing global challenges, including those posed by climate change, armed conflicts and social inequalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The article highlights the importance of the meaningful participation of civil society in global decision-making processes, as well as emphasises the relevance of multisectoral dialogue channels such as the Global Policy Dialogue, organized in Washington DC in March 2022 by Plataforma CIP\u00d3 in partnership with the Stimson Center, the University of Leiden, the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS), Bosch Foundation, Global Challenges Foundation,  Club de Madrid and the Institute for Economy and Peace.
