On February 14th, at 10:30AM (Brasilia time), CIP\u00d3 researcher Gabrielle Alves participated in a side event on youth and ageism during the 60th United Nations Commission on Social Development.<\/a> The event “Prosperous Youth – from ageism to intergenerational solidarity” was held by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA)<\/a>, The World Health Organisation (WHO<\/a>), the International Labour Organization (ILO<\/a>) and the Major Group on Children and Youth.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main findings of the Global Report on Ageism were presented and a discussion on strategies for dealing with age discrimination was offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
