The podcast addressed topics such as the contribution of Chinese investment to economic and sustainable development in Latin America, and the role of civil society in containing environmental damage associated with Chinese investments in the Amazon and the Brazilian Cerrado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main theme of the podcast was based on the article \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/carnegieendowment.org\/2021\/08\/04\/what-railway-deals-taught-chinese-and-brazilians-in-amazon-pub-85088\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">What Railway Deals Taught Chinese and Brazilians in the Amazon<\/a>\u201c by Adriana Abdenur, Maiara Folly (Plataforma CIP\u00d3) and Maur\u00edcio Santoro (UERJ), published by Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
