{"id":6462,"date":"2021-10-28T07:41:26","date_gmt":"2021-10-28T10:41:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/plataformacipo.org\/?p=6462"},"modified":"2021-10-28T07:45:37","modified_gmt":"2021-10-28T10:45:37","slug":"climate-gender-and-sustaining-peace-what-is-the-role-of-the-un-peacebuilding-architecture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plataformacipo.org\/en\/events\/climate-gender-and-sustaining-peace-what-is-the-role-of-the-un-peacebuilding-architecture\/","title":{"rendered":"Climate, Gender and Sustaining Peace: What is the role of the UN peacebuilding architecture?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 27 October 2021, Plataforma CIP\u00d3 took part in a closed roundtable&nbsp;titled &#8220;At the crossroads of Climate, Gender and Sustaining Peace:&nbsp;What is the role of the UN peacebuilding architecture.&#8221; The discussion, organized by the Dag Hammarskj\u00f6ld Foundation (DHF), the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) and the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC), brought together UN officials, member states and civil society organizations to discuss the role of the UN in addressing this &#8220;triple nexus&#8221; in post-conflict and conflict setting.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Background: In concluding the 2020 peacebuilding architecture review in December 2020, the adoption of dual resolutions on Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace by the UN General Assembly (A\/RES\/75\/201) and the Security Council (S\/RES\/2558) welcomed progress made in implementing the resolutions, and confirmed continued support for them.
