Food insecurity is at the core of the many challenges facing the world today. It overlaps with the \u201cthree Cs\u201d shaping international politics in the new decade\u2014Covid, conflict, and climate\u2014in complex and profound ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Tuesday, September 14, Plataforma CIP\u00d3 took part in the debate “Covid, Conflict, and Climate: Food Insecurity Today and the Way Forward.” The online event was organized by the Stimson Center and the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
CIP\u00d3 Executive Director Adriana Erthal Abdenur drew on the platform’s ongoing research into climate and local peacebuilding in the Amazon Basin and in the Sahel <\/strong>and commented the report Peace Through Food: Ending the Hunger-Instability Nexus. <\/em><\/strong>The publication is the outcome of a working group series led by the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University.
