The team also analyzed what the rivalry between the US and China represents for climate governance, as well as addressing the risks that climate change, including extreme weather events, pose to the safety of affected communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the interview, the CIP\u00d3 Platform team highlighted: &#8220;In recent years, Brazil has gone against its own history. The dismantling of the federal government&#8217;s environmental protection bodies has contributed to the country becoming increasingly isolated at the international level, also threatening the ratification of trade agreements, such as the one signed between the European Union and Mercosur.
