The <a href=\"https:\/\/plataformacipo.org\/en\/events\/global-dialogue-discusses-climate-finance-and-just-transitions-towards-cop30\/\">meeting<\/a> took place on 17\u201318 July 2025 at the Anchieta Palace, seat of the Government of Esp\u00edrito Santo, in Vit\u00f3ria. It brought together more than 100 high-level participants \u2014 including representatives from governments, parliaments, academia, multilateral organizations, civil society, and the private sector \u2014 with the aim of discussing concrete solutions to advance towards COP30, to be held in November in Bel\u00e9m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizado pela Plataforma CIP\u00d3 e pelo Governo do Estado do Esp\u00edrito Santo, o evento contou com o apoio da Embaixada da Fran\u00e7a no Brasil, do Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS), da Global Challenges Foundation, da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Heinrich B\u00f6ll e da Global Governance Innovation Network (GGIN), al\u00e9m de ter sido reconhecido pela UNFCCC como parte das comemora\u00e7\u00f5es dos dez anos do Acordo de Paris e endossado oficialmente pelo T20 \u00c1frica do Sul 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The document presents strategic recommendations across four main areas: just transitions, the role of subnational governments, climate finance, and the reform of international climate governance. Key highlights include the need to broaden the concept of just transition to encompass human rights, social protection, biodiversity, forests, food systems, and resilient cities; ensure direct access of states and municipalities to resources and capacity-building; mobilize at least USD 1.3 trillion by COP30, as outlined in the Baku to Bel\u00e9m Roadmap; and transform COPs into milestones within continuous cycles of implementation, learning, and accountability.<br> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The publication also emphasizes the centrality of human rights, the value of traditional knowledge, and the urgency of innovative and transparent financial mechanisms.
