The hybrid event (held online and in person in New York) brought together civil society experts and UN delegates to discuss pathways toward a fairer international financial architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Co-organized by the Coalition for the UN We Need (C4UN) and the Impact Coalition on International Financial Architecture Reform and Financing for Development (IFA-FfD), in partnership with the Bah\u00e1\u2019\u00ed International Community and with support from CIP\u00d3, the meeting addressed the need to strengthen development financing mechanisms. Key issues included international tax justice, sovereign debt restructuring, and increasing resources for low-income countries. The dialogue also explored innovative alternatives such as Global Public Investment and emphasized the importance of engaging the Global South in shaping solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Core topics included the urgency of more democratic governance in international financial institutions, the establishment of transparent and equitable sovereign debt workout mechanisms, and the reinforcement of international cooperation on climate finance.
