In the piece, Esteves highlights the convergences between the speech given by President Lula at COP27 and the document &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/climainternacional.plataformacipo.org\/\">Climate and International Strategy: New Paths for Brazil&#8221;<\/a>, developed during the presidential campaign and released by CIP\u00d3 during the conference in Egypt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the article, CIP\u00d3 Executive Director Adriana Abdenur comments on possibilities for post-Bolsonaro foreign policy: &#8220;One of the ideas in this article was to propose Brazil&#8217;return to the international stage as a propositional actor, not just in the agenda that is very dominated by the countries of the North that predominates at the COPs, but also to mobilize other developing countries so that issues that are dear to the South are taken seriously in global governance.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abdenur added that &#8220;there is no point in rehashing the previous foreign policy&#8221; and that &#8220;climate has to be one of the bases for the mobilization of developing countries, which have lost space in the construction of this agenda&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also commented on the differences in the concept of sovereignty promoted by Brazilian leaders: &#8220;When Bolsonaro talks about the Amazon, he sees international cooperation as a threat to Brazilian sovereignty.
