On October 8, 2022, Plataforma CIP\u00d3 participated in the “Training Meetings” initiative, organized by Vira\u00e7\u00e3o in partnership with UNICEF. The capacity-building workshop for Brazilian youth leaders was part of a series of meetings in the lead up to the 27th Climate Parties Conference (COP27), to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, in November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CIP\u00d3 Executive Director, Adriana Abdenur, presented an overview of international politics and its relevance to the climate and environmental area, including the repercussions for climate negotiations at COP 27. Themes addressed included: the repercussions for climate action of the war in Ukraine, the rivalry between China and the United States, the crisis in global governance and the retraction of Brazilian foreign policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
