{"id":10530,"date":"2022-08-17T08:47:20","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T11:47:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/plataformacipo.org\/?p=10530"},"modified":"2022-08-17T08:50:20","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T11:50:20","slug":"cipo-at-the-x-pan-amazonian-social-forum-fospa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plataformacipo.org\/en\/events\/cipo-at-the-x-pan-amazonian-social-forum-fospa\/","title":{"rendered":"CIP\u00d3 at the X Pan-Amazonian Social Forum, FOSPA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CIP\u00d3, represented by its senior researcher Fl\u00e1via do Amaral Vieira, participated in the X Pan-Amazonian Social Forum, FOSPA, held in Bel\u00e9m do Par\u00e1 from July 28 to 31, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FOSPA is a global event\/process that emerged within the scope of the World Social Forum, as a space for the articulation of peoples and social movements for the political and cultural incidence and resistance against the neoliberal, neocolonial, extractive, discriminatory development model. The event in Bel\u00e9m sought to support the struggles and resistance of peoples in all territories of the PanAmaz\u00f4nia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, CIP\u00d3 was presented in FOSPA&#8217;s opening march, which brought together civil society and representatives of the most diverse peoples of the Amazon, as well as participated in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fospabelem.com.br\/en\/2022\/07\/28\/justica-nos-trilhos-e-comunidades-do-maranhao-participam-do-tribunal-internacional-dos-direitos-da-natureza-em-maraba-pa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">session of the International Rights Of Nature Tribunal<\/a>. This session presented a preliminary report of an investigation carried out with the objective to investigate violations of the rights of nature and of the inhabitants of the Amazon. The delegation of the Tribunal visited the cities of Altamira, Anapu and Marab\u00e1, in Par\u00e1, between the 18th and 27th of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the closing of the event, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fospabelem.com.br\/en\/2022\/08\/01\/declaracao-pan-amazonica-de-belem-x-forum-social-pan-amazonico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pan-Amazonian Declaration of Bel\u00e9m<\/a> was launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fospabelem.com.br\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read more (in Portuguese)<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CIP\u00d3, represented by its senior researcher Fl\u00e1via do Amaral Vieira, participated in the X Pan-Amazonian Social Forum, FOSPA, held in Bel\u00e9m do Par\u00e1 from July 28 to 31, 2022.
