The United Nations and Anthropocentric Governance

As climate change intensifies, its complex links to security are drawing the attention of the United Nations (UN) and other global and regional actors.

How can the UN be made “fit for purpose” to respond to the challenges of the Anthropocene? This is the central theme of the article The United Nations and Anthropocentric Governance, published by the journal Strategic Analysis. Adriana Erthal Abdenur and Maiara Folly argue that the climate agenda at the UN should be strengthened, especially so as to create incentives for preventive actions.
